FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's lacrosse team fell to Farmingdale State College on Saturday afternoon, by the score of 22-0.
With the result, the Panthers are now 3-10 overall and 0-5 in the conference. For the Rams, they improved to 13-2 and 5-0, respectively.
The home team dominated the game right from the start, establishing a commanding 9-0 lead in the first quarter. By halftime, they had extended their lead to 15-0.
On the day, the Blue and Orange recorded a total of 11 shots and secured 18 ground balls in the effort.
Zach Collins (JR/Victor, NY) led the offensive efforts for Purchase with three shots.
Additionally,
Steven Sanchez (FY/Queens, NY) won three face-offs, while
Kevon Joseph (SO/Brooklyn, NY) contributed two caused turnovers.
In goal,
Will Boes (JR/Pleasantville, NY) made 13 saves and conceded 15 goals in the first half.
Sam Erlich (FY/Plainview, NY) took over in the second half, allowing seven goals and recording four saves.
Looking ahead, Purchase College will continue their Skyline Conference action as they prepare to host Manhattanville on April 23rd at 6 p.m.
