PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's tennis team earned its fourth-straight win Sunday morning, prevailing over Hunter College by the score of 5-4.
With the result, the Panthers are now 4-7 overall, while the guests dropped to 2-5.
The Blue and Orange started out strong claiming victories at the No. 1 doubles position with
Eli Palagatshev (SO/Yonkers, NY) and
Yuta Kawamura (SO/Old Greenwich, CT), as well as at the No. 2 doubles spot with
Steve Mains (JR/Mount Kisco, NY) and
Oliver Culliton (JR/Boston, MA).
In singles play, Palagatshev
, Kawamura and Mains maintained the momentum and earned wins at the No. 1-3 positions, sweeping their sets and solidifying the victory for the Panthers.
Up next the team will travel for a Skyline Conference matchup at the United States Merchant Marine Academy on April 24th. The match is set to start at 4 p.m.
