BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's tennis team was defeated Monday afternoon, falling to Brooklyn College by the score of 9-0.
With the result, the Panthers are now 0-5 overall. For the Bulldogs, they jumped to 6-5.
At No. 1 doubles,
Yuta Kawamura (SO/Old Greenwich, CT) andÂ
Suleyman Eminov (JR/Mary, Turkmenistan) narrowly fell by the score of 8-6
In singles action, No. 3
Steve Mains (JR/Mount Kisco, NY) got the closest to winning a set, as he was defeated by the score of 6-1, 6-4.
At No. 2, Kawamura won five games before falling, 6-2, 6-3.
Up next for the Panthers is a return home for Skyline Conference play, as they host Yeshiva University on April 10th at 3 p.m.
