PURCHASE, N.Y. - Purchase College Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator Francesca Levine earned high praise this week, as she was recognized by Purchase College as the 2024 Student Engagement Award winner.

Levine, who arrived at Purchase in 2012, collected the recognition after demonstrating "extraordinary commitment, initiative, and dedication to students by making efforts 'above and beyond' their job descriptions in forwarding the college's retention and engagement goals."

The award is rare achievement, as just one full-time faculty member and one full-time staff member are honored each year. Levine became just the second person from athletics to ever receive the nod, as former baseball head coach Bill Guerrero collected the award during the 2010's.

For Francesca, the award is the culmination of all her incredible work as her commitment, initiative and dedication to being an educator and to the students has produced outstanding engagement and retention rates at the college.

She will officially receive the award next month during a ceremony on September 11th. 

As for other notable Levine achievements this year, the administrator was instrumental in securing an NCAA grant for a brand new position at Purchase College - Assistant Compliance Coordinator/Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

This new hire - Stephen Peters - will assist Francesca in overseeing the ever-growing compliance wing of the department, while continuing to foster a culture of inclusive excellence within athletics.
