PATCHOGUE, N.Y. - Purchase College junior Anthony Ciccone was named the 2026 Skyline Conference Baseball Elite 19 Honoree, it was announced Tuesday.

Ciccone (South Salem, NY) earned the recognition as he sported the highest GPA among all players in the Skyline Conference Playoffs earlier this month. He entered the tournament with a GPA of 3.987.

The Skyline Conference Elite 19 awards were introduced last year, and are modeled after the NCAA Elite 90 awards, which are awarded to student-athletes who best exemplify academic and athletic excellence.

With the win, Ciccone became the first Purchase male student-athlete to be recognized for the award, as Amelia Perlmutter of women's tennis claimed the school's first recognition back in 2024.

On the field, the relief pitcher appeared in 11 games as a junior, finishing with two wins over 12 innings of work. He totaled a 2.25 ERA with three strikeouts.
