PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Purchase College women's soccer team was defeated 3-0 by the University of Mount Saint Vincent in their Skyline Conference opener on Tuesday evening. With the loss, the Panthers dropped to 1-6-0, while the Dolphins improved to 4-2-0.
UMSV took control from the start of the match and relentlessly tested the strength of Purchase's defense. Despite some promising defensive efforts, the Blue and Orange struggled to match the Dolphin's continuous attack.
Individually, goalkeeper
Jill Creegan (FR/High Falls, NY) kept the Panthers in the game with 16 saves and faced 34 shots, while
Rebecca Quick (SR/Millbrook, NY) led the Panthers with three shots, including the team's only shot on goal.
The Blue and Orange take to their home field again on Friday, Spetember 20th against Saint Elizabeth University at 6:00 p.m.
