Purchase Drops Two at Keystone Tri-Match

LA PLUME, Penn. - The Purchase College women's volleyball team dropped a pair of contests Saturday afternoon, falling to Keystone College and FDU-Florham in a tri-match.

Game One: Keystone 3, Purchase 0 (25-17, 25-8, 25-11)

In the opening game, the Giants cruised as they used big runs in each frame to create separation.

For the Blue and Orange, they finished with 15 kills on .013 hitting, while the hosts recorded totals of 35 and .259, respectively.

Individually, Lauren White (SR/Washington, DC) and Sadie Weiss (FY/Bronx, NY) each recorded four kills apiece.

Natalia Leite (SO/Thornwood, NY) added seven assists, while Maya Brown (SO/Carteret, NJ) added 11 digs in the effort.

Game Two: FDU-Florham 3, Purchase 0 (25-13, 25-8, 25-14)

The Panthers improved their play in the second contest of the day, as they finished with 21 kills on .077 hitting this time around.

However, it wasn't enough to secure the win, as the Devils used runs midway through each set to grab the lead and never look back.

Leading Purchase in game two was Helena Carroll (FY/Lancaster, PA), as she compiled eight kills, nine assists and five digs.

Leite recorded three kills, eight assists and four digs, while White finished with a team-high 10 digs.

With the losses, the Panthers now sit at 1-6 on the young season.

Up next for the Blue and Orange is a return home, as they host Saint Elizabeth University on September 23rd at 7 p.m.
