FARMINGDALE, NY – The Purchase College women's basketball team was topped by Farmingdale State College on Tuesday evening by the score of 77-49.
The loss moved the Panthers to 3-15 overall and 2-11 in the Skyline Conference while the Rams improved to 11-8 and 8-6, respectively.
Farmingdale controlled the game from the start, outscoring Purchase 23-9 in the first quarter and never relinquished their lead.
Individually, Jessica McHugh (SO/Ellenville, NY) paced Purchase with 21 points from the field, while Charlee Neb (JR/Longmont, CO) contributed 11 points and five rebounds.
Kendall Larsen (SO/Staten Island, NY) had a strong defensive game, grabbing 10 boards in the loss.
The Panthers shot 40.4% from the field and made 66.7% of their free throws. The Rams, meanwhile, shot 37.8% from the field and 50% from the free-throw line but held a significant advantage from three-point range, hitting 37.5% of their attempts compared to Purchase's 15%.
