PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College women's tennis team was defeated at Manhattanville University Wednesday night, dropping the Skyline Conference matchup by the score of 6-1.

With the result, the Panthers moved to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in the league. For the Valiants, they improved to 4-0 and 3-0, respectively.

The lone win of the afternoon for the Blue and Orange came at the No.6 singles spot via Sadie Killebrew (JR/Brooklyn, NY).

She prevailed in her match by the final result of 6-2 and 6-3.

Novalie Nguyen (SR/Macedon, NY) nearly claimed victory at No.5 singles, winning her first set, 7-5, before ultimately falling in three frames.

Up next for the Panthers is a return home, as they host the University of Mount Saint Vincent on October 3rd at 4:30 p.m.
