PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College women's volleyball team was defeated at home Tuesday night, dropping a Skyline Conference matchup to Farmingdale State College in straight sets.
Scores for the contest were 25-12, 25-12 and 25-9.
With the result, the Panthers moved to 2-12 overall and 0-4 in the league. For the Rams, they now sit at 11-6 and 3-2, respectively.
Over the three frames, the hosts finished with 14 kills on .035 hitting.
The Blue and Orange failed to overcome long rallies from the guests, as Farmingdale triumphed off 43 kills and .337 hitting.
Individually,
Maya Brown (JR/Carteret, NJ) finished with a team-high six kills and an ace to lead the offense.
Natalia Leite (JR/Thornwood, NY) tallied 14 assists, while
Sadie Weiss (SO/Bronx, NY) and
Darlene Baez (FY/Bronx, NY) each totaled 10 digs apiece in the effort.
Up next for the squad is the first of three straight Skyline road games, as the Panthers travel to Sarah Lawrence College. That game is set for October 16th at 6 p.m.
