NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Purchase College women's volleyball team earned its first Skyline Conference win of the season Sunday, as it raced past Yeshiva University in straight sets.
Scores for the contest were 25-18, 25-9 and 25-22.Â
With the win, the Panthers moved to 3-14 overall and 1-6 in the league. For the Macs, they dropped to 2-10 and 0-7, respectively.
Over the three sets, the Blue and Orange enjoyed seven runs of four-points or more, as they paced the hosts in each frame.
Overall, Purchase finished with a season-high 42 kills as they hit .207 in the winning effort. For Yeshiva, they tallied 15 kills on .024 hitting.
Individually,
Sadie Weiss (SO/Bronx, NY) and
Natalia Leite (JR/Thornwood, NY) powered the offense with 13 points apiece Sunday.
Weiss finished with 11 kills and two aces, while Leite tallied eight kills and five aces. The duo was led the way with assists on the day, as they finished with 17 and 15, respectively.
Maya Brown (JR/Carteret, NJ) added 18 digs, nine kills and two aces in the victory.
Up next for the Panthers is a return home as they welcome Mount Saint Mary College on October 28th at 7 p.m.
