PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College women's volleyball team was defeated at home Tuesday night, falling to Mount Saint Mary College in straight sets.
Scores for the contest were 25-9, 25-14 and 25-19.Â
With the result, the Panthers fell to 3-15 overall and 1-7 in the Skyline Conference. For the Knights, they moved to 10-13 and 6-3, respectively.
On the night, the Blue and Orange improved during each frame on kills, finishing with 20 overall on .062 hitting.
Despite the improving performance in each set, they could not overcome the guests as they finished with 45 kills on .311 hitting.
Individually,
Sadie Weiss (SO/Bronx, NY) recorded seven points (six kills, one ace), eight assists and five digs.
Natalia Leite (JR/Thornwood, NY) added 12 assists, while
Marcella Pena (JR/Bronx, NY) collected 15 digs in the effort.
Up next is the final road game of the season, as the squad travels to St. Joseph's University-Brooklyn on October 30th at 7 p.m.
