FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Purchase College women's soccer team battled hard but fell 4-0 to Farmingdale State in Skyline Conference action Tuesday night.
With the results, the Panthers now sit 3-7 overall and 2-5 in the conference, while the Rams 5-8-1 and 4-1, respectively
The Rams capitalized early, scoring three times in the first half before adding a fourth in the 56th minute.
Goalkeeper Jill Creegan (SO/High Falls, NY) turned in 14 saves across 70 minutes of play before Carolyn Hough (SR/Massapequa, NY) stepped in to make an additional save in relief.
Offensively, Purchase produced five total shots, including three on goal from Elyza Colon (JR/Bronx, NY), Lilah Hall (FY/Danville, VT) and Valentina Quintero (SO/Eastchester, NY). The Blue and Orange maintained steady defensive pressure, anchored by Maggie Obman (JR/Scotia, NY), Angela Holness (JR/Newburgh, NY) and Saige Navara (SO/Hurley, NY), who helped limit several second-half chances.
