This week's interesting tidbit is: Did you know that Purchase College senior Liam Daly was recently named Axcess Baseball's Division III Player of the Year?

On November 8th, Daly (Babylon, NY) was honored as the College Co-Player of the Year Powered by Max Effort Baseball at the 2025 Awards Banquet.

The award comes after an accolade-ridden year for the first baseman, as he was also named the Skyline Conference Baseball Player of the Year,  All-Skyline Conference First Team, D3baseball.com 2025 All-American Third Team, 2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region 3 First Team and D3baseball.com 2025 All-Region 3 First Team.

For 2025, Daly led in the entire nation with a .496 batting average, collecting 58 hits in 117 at-bats. He recorded 13 doubles, one triple, and seven home runs, while driving in a team-high 45 RBIs.

He also scored 35 runs, walked 15 times and stole 16 bases, while striking out just nine times all year.
