PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's volleyball team suffered a home loss Tuesday evening, falling in straight sets to Baruch College.

Set scores for the contest were 25-16, 25-19 and 25-11. With the result, the Panthers moved to 1-4 overall, while the Bearcats jumped to 1-5.

From the get-go, the guests were in control and rolled all game long.

For the Blue and Orange, they held their own for a while in each of the first two sets, but just couldn't match the hitting of Baruch.

In total, the Panthers finished with 23 kills on .024 hitting, while the guests compiled totals of 31 and .222, respectively.

Individually, Channing Williams (JR/Neptune, NJ) led all players with a game-high 11 kills and six digs. 

Victor Ruiz (FY/Bronx, NY) added 19 assists, five digs and two block assists in the effort.

Up next for the Panthers is more non-conference home action, as the squad welcomes Bard College on February 6th at 7 p.m.
