DELHI, N.Y. – The Purchase College men's lacrosse team faced defeat against SUNY Delhi, falling 28-2 in a tough road contest Wednesday night.
With the result, the Panthers dropped to 3-5, while the Broncos improved to 5-3.
The Panthers managed just 10 shots, with Zach Scott (FY/West Babylon, NY) and Zach Collins (SR/Victor, NY) each netting a goal. Scott also assisted on Collins' fourth-quarter tally, while Kevon Joseph (JR/Brooklyn, NY) recorded an assist on Scott's second-quarter strike.
SUNY Delhi dominated possession, outshooting Purchase 80-10 and winning 31 of 33 faceoffs.
Goalkeeper TJ Pasqualini (FY/West Harrison, NY), now 1-2, made 11 saves in the first half, while Sam Erlich (SO/Plainview, NY) and Vincent Fuentes (FY/Bethpage, NY) combined for another 11 in the second.
The Blue and Orange are back on the road April 2nd, this time to Newburgh for their first Skyline Conference match against Mount Saint Mary College, slated for a 7 p.m. start.
