NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's volleyball team cruised to an easy win Monday night, besting Yeshiva University in straight sets.
Scores for the contest were 25-12, 25-20 and 25-15.
With the win, the Panthers moved to 17-15 overall and 10-7 in the Skyline Conference. For the Macs, they dropped to 1-25 and 0-17, respectively.
The Blue and Orange led the entire night, outside of the first point of the first and third sets, as they used their hitting dominance to set the tempo.
In the end, the guests finished with 47 kills on .376 hitting, while Yeshiva recorded totals of 19 and .183, respectively.
Individually,
Channing Williams (SO/Neptune, NJ) led all players with 18 kills and six digs.
Hector Ruiz (FY/Bronx, NY) finished with seven kills and seven aces, while
Ayden Mercado (FY/Brooklyn, NY) tallied 38 assists in the win.
Up next for the Panthers is the regular-season finale, as they host Manhattanville University on April 2nd at 6 p.m.
