PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Purchase College men's lacrosse team fell to Skyline powerhouse Farmingdale State, 21-1, Friday night under the lights.
With the results, the Blue and Orange are now 3-8 overall and 0-3 in the Skyline Conference, while the guests improved to 11-2 and 3-0, respectively.
The Rams jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the opening quarter and never looked back, scoring 10 more in the second to take a 16-0 lead into halftime. They outshot the Panthers 44-9, collected 43 ground balls, and won 20 of 25 faceoffs.
Zach Collins (SR/Victor, NY) netted the lone goal for Purchase off an assist from Soleil Gaines (SO/Brooklyn, NY) in the fourth quarter.
In goal, TJ Pasqualini (FY/West Harrison, NY) made nine saves in the first half, while Vincent Fuentes (FY/Bethpage, NY) added two in the second.
Purchase College returns to action April 15 at 7 p.m., hosting Mount Saint Vincent in a Senior Night matchup honoring the team's graduating players.
