NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. - The Purchase College women's soccer team secured its first win of the 2025 season Sunday afternoon, cruising past Yeshiva University by the score of 10-0.
With the result, the Panthers are now 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the Skyline Conference. For the Macs, they dropped to 0-7 and 0-6, respectively.
The scoring started early and often as
Lindita Selmani (JR/Brooklyn, NY) found the back of the net in the 6th minute.
Over the rest of the first half, the Blue and Orange added two more goals to lead 3-0 at the break.
In the second frame, the floodgates erupted to the tune of seven more goals, as Purchase left the field with a massive win.
Individually, Selmani led the way with a game-high five goals and two assists.
Bailey Carlon (SR/Gilbert, AZ) and
Lilah Hall (FY/Danville, VT) each added two goals apiece, while
Valentina Quintero (SO/Eastchester, NY) score her first career goal.
In net,
Carolyn Hough (SR/Massapequa, NY) collected one save in the shutout win.
Up next for the squad is a return home as it hosts York College on September 17th at 7 p.m.
