JAMAICA, N.Y. - For the second time in as many games, the Purchase College men's soccer team rode four goals to a dominating win over a CUNY school.
The most recent win came Wednesday night, as the Panthers paced York College on the road, 4-0.
With the result, the Blue and Orange moved to 2-0 overall, while the Cardinals opened the season 0-1.
On the day, the guests outshot York, 25-2 overall and 9-0 on goal.
The first strike came right before halftime, whenÂ
Outman Ait Sidi Ahmed (FY/Wappingers Falls, NY) headed in a goal off a free kick feed from
Felix Robinson (SO/Bronx, NY) in the 45th minute.
Following the break,
Terry Bruno (FY/Baldwin, NY) scored in the 62nd,Â
Sebastian Ford (FY/Richmond, VA) in the 71st andÂ
Christos Argyros (FY/Bronx, NY) in the 84th to complete the offensive explosion.
In the end, Robinson tallied two assists, while
Oliver Broun (JR/Athens, GA) collected an assist too.
In goal,
Luca Valeriano (FY/Bronx, NY) earned the clean-sheet win after 90 scoreless minutes.
Up next for the Panthers is yet another road matchup, this time down in New Jersey against Centenary University. That match is set for September 6th at noon.
