NEW YORK, N.Y. - Two Purchase College student-athletes earned a Skyline Conference weekly award, it was announced Monday.

Men's Basketball

Maurice Western - Honorable Mention

Over two Skyline games last week, Western (FY/Bronx, NY) averaged 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

During a 14-point comeback win over the University of Mount Saint Vincent, he finished with a team-high 20 points, six rebounds and four assists in 36 minutes.

The award was the first of the freshman's young career and the second of the season for the team.

Women's Basketball

Tianna Patten - Honorable Mention

Over two Skyline games last week, Patten (FY/Mount Vernon, NY) averaged 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game.

During a road game at Mount Saint Mary College, she scored a career-high 24 points, which was more than the rest of the team combined in the effort.

On the year, Tianna has now earned her fifth individual recognition from the league (two Rookies of the Week, three Honorable Mentions), while the team earned its sixth overall.
