BRONX, N.Y. - The SUNY Purchase Cross Country teams competed at the Queensborough Community College Invitational Sunday afternoon, facing off against 16 other schools.

On the day, the men's team finished 12th out of 17 teams, as it tallied 323 points total. In first place was Felician University with 36 points in the 8K event.
Individually,Â
Alexander Carbo (SR/Hopedale, MA) was the Panthers' top finisher, as he came in 20th out of 157 runners. He crossed the finish line in a time of 31:16.9.
Following behind was
Jack Sherman (SO/Scarsdale, NY) in 61st place and
Daniel Ocasio (FY) in 73rd.
Finally,Â
Kevin Sanguina (JR/Patterson, NY) and
Jaden Forth (FY/Bronx, NY) rounded out the finishers for the Blue and Orange.
Women's
On the women's side, the Panthers placed 13th out of 17 teams with 351 points. The overall winner on the day was the College of Staten Island with 81 points in the 5K.
Flora Parker-Myers (SO/Kingston, NY) paced the squad as she finished eighth out of 131 runners. She crossed the line in a time of 22:28.0.
Madeline Ortiz (JR/Yonkers, NY) was the next Panther to finish as she claimed 78th place, followed by
Talullah McColgin (FY) in 83rd.
Finally,
Jaida Crews (FY/Brooklyn, NY) and
Halle Greaige (SR/Rye Brook, NY) rounded out the finishers for the Blue and Orange.
Up next for Purchase is a meet at
New Jersey Institute of Technology Invitational on October 10th.
