Women's Basketball Bested at Manhattanville

PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College women's basketball team was defeated on the road Tuesday night, falling to Manhattanville University by the score of 77-50.

With the result, the Panthers moved to 10-12 overall and 9-8 in the Skyline Conference. For the Valiants, they jumped to 18-4 and 16-1, respectively.

For the contest, the hosts gained control early and never relented. After 10 minutes, they lead 18-10 and by halftime, it was 36-25.

The second half then saw the biggest explosion of the night, as the Manhattanville scored 24 points during the third quarter to seal the win.

Overall, Purchase shot 37.3 percent from the field and 31.6 percent from long range. For the hosts, they put up totals of 47.8 percent and 66.7 percent, respectively.

Individually, Charlee Neb (SR/Longmont, CO) led the way with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Tianna Patten (FY/Mount Vernon, NY) chipped in nine points, three rebounds and two blocks, while Katie Argenzio (SO/Washingtonville, NY) added seven points and a steal.

Up next for the Panthers is the final road game of the season, as they travel to Yeshiva University on February 12th at 7:30 p.m.
