PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's volleyball team was defeated on the road Wednesday night, falling to Manhattanville University in four sets.
Scores for the contest were 25-17, 23-25, 25-21 and 25-23.
With the result, the Panthers dropped to 8-12 overall and 7-3 in the Skyline Conference. For the Valiants, they are nearly identical at 8-12 and 7-4, respectively.
Individually,
Udel Phillips (JR/Far Rockaway, NY)Â led the way with 14 kills on .591 hitting, while also recording five block assists.
Jael Martinez (JR/Bronx, NY) and
Hector Ruiz (SO/Bronx, NY) each added 13.5 points and 11 kills apiece.
Danny Kanner (FY/Smithtown, NY) added 38 assists, six digs and two block assists, while
Joey Toscano (SO/Levittown, NY) finished with a game-high 14 digs.
Up next for the squad is a return home against Yeshiva University on March 29th at 11 a.m.
