Men's Tennis Bested by Yeshiva

PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's tennis team was defeated at home Friday afternoon, falling to Yeshiva University by the score of 6-1.

With the result, the Panthers are now 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the Skyline Conference. For the Macs, they jumped to 4-5 and 2-1, respectively.

In doubles, the hosts dropped two of the three contests to lose the point, but the No.1 duo of Eli Palagatshev (SR/Yonkers, NY) and Isaac Spottek (SO/Conklin, NY) still prevailed by the score of 6-0.

Palagatshev then earned the lone victory of the contest for the Blue and Orange, as he cruised at No.1 singles by the margins of 6-2, 6-3.

Pedro Llonch-Vidalle (SR/New York, NY) nearly rallied in the No.6 spot, before ultimately falling in three sets - 6-3, 6-7 (7-5) and 10-7.

Up next for the Panthers is more Skyline action as the squad hosts Mount Saint Mary College on April 1st at 3 p.m.
