PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's lacrosse team was defeated at home Sunday afternoon, falling by the score of 13-6 to Alfred State College.
With the result, the Panthers are now 1-4 overall, while the Pioneers moved to 5-7.
The first quarter saw the guests lead 3-2, before extending the margin to 7-3 at halftime.
Following the break, the Blue and Orange cut the margin to just two goals at 8-6, before Alfred scored five straight to closeout the win.
Individually,
Zach Scott (SO/West Babylon, NY) finished with two goals, two assists, four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Kevon Joseph (SR/Brooklyn, NY) added two goals and two ground balls, while
Ryan Haberski (FY/Saugerties) and
Davindra Deonarain (FY/Bronx, NY) each finished with a goal apiece.
In goal,
TJ Pasqualini (SO/West Harrison, NY) collected 15 saves and two ground balls in the effort.
Up next for the squad is the start of Skyline Conference play, as it hosts Mount Saint Mary College on April 1st at 7 p.m.
