NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's volleyball team earned another Skyline Conference win Sunday evening, after besting Yeshiva University in straight sets.
Set scores for the contest were 25-15, 25-12 and 25-21.
With the result, the Panthers have now won four conference games in a row and sport a 5-9 overall record. In the Skyline, they are 4-0. For the Macs, they dropped to 1-9 and 0-4, respectively.
Purchase raced out to big margins in all three sets to set the tempo, as Yeshiva just could not match its hitting on the day.
In the victory, the Blue and Orange totaled 40 kills on .262 hitting, while the hosts recorded just 19 kills on .072 hitting.
Individually,
Danny Kanner (FY/Smithtown, NY) and
Joey Toscano (SO/Levittown, NY) paced the action with 10 points apiece.Â
Kanner finished with seven kills and three aces, while also leading the squad in assists with 22. For Toscano, he recorded a career-high eight kills, while adding four digs and two aces.
Richie Walker (FY/Lewiston, NY) tallied a match and career-best seven digs, two aces and a kill.
Up next for the squad is a return home, as they host Sarah Lawrence College on March 11th at 7 p.m.
