THROGGS NECK, N.Y. - The Purchase College women's lacrosse team was defeated on the road Wednesday night, falling to Maritime College by the score of 21-6.

With the result, the Panthers are now 0-7 overall and 0-3 in the Skyline Conference. For the Privateers, they moved to 1-4 and 1-2, respectively.

On the night, the Blue and Orange produced a season-high six goals with two apiece in the first, third and fourth quarters.

Individually, Catie Chios (JR/Westbury, NY) paced the action as she had four goals and three draw controls.

Julieth Velasquez (SR/White Plains, NY) and Jill Creegan (SO/High Falls, NY) each added one goal, while Annelise Durkin (JR/Mattituck, NY) collected four draw controls and two ground balls.

In goal, Savannah Haynes (FY/Yonkers, NY) finished with six saves and four ground balls.

Up next for the Panthers is road matchup at the United States Merchant Marine Academy on April 7th at 7 p.m.
