KINGS POINT, N.Y. - The Purchase College women's lacrosse team was defeated on the road Tuesday night, falling to the United States Merchant Marine Academy by the score of 26-0.

With the results, the Panthers are now 0-8 overall and 0-4 in the Skyline Conference. For the Mariners, they moved to 6-3 and 4-0, respectively.

On the night, the hosts scored 11 goals over the first quarter, and lead at halftime, 17-0.

For the Blue and Orange, Catie Chios (JR/Westbury, NY) produced the team's lone shot and grabbed two draw controls.

Julieth Velasquez (SR/White Plains, NY) collected three ground balls and caused turnover.

In goal, Savannah Haynes (FY/Yonkers, NY) finished with eight saves and two ground balls.

Up next for Purchase is the final road game of the year at Manhattanville University on April 11th at noon.
