PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's lacrosse team dropped a home contest Saturday afternoon, falling to Manhattanville University by the score of 18-3.
With the result, the Panthers are now 1-7 overall and 0-3 in the Skyline Conference. For the Valiants, they moved to 4-6 and 2-1, respectively.
The action started fast and furious for the guests as they scored six goals in the first quarter and lead at halftime, 12-1.
For the Blue and Orange, they finished with 20 shots (13 on goal), 38 ground balls and won 13 face-offs.
Individually,
Zach Scott (SO/West Babylon, NY) scored twice, while
Kevon Joseph (SR/Brooklyn, NY) added the other strike.
Cameron Savoca (JR/Nesconset, NY) went 11-for-19 on face-offs and grabbed 10 ground balls, while
Liam Pheffer (SO/Massapequa, NY) recorded three caused turnovers and three ground balls.
In goal,
TJ Pasqualini (SO/West Harrison, NY) totaled a season-high 19 saves, five ground balls and a caused turnover.
Up next for the squad is a trip to the University of Mount Saint Vincent on April 14th at 7 p.m.
