RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's lacrosse team was defeated on the road Tuesday night, falling to the University of Mount Saint Vincent by the score of 18-7.
With the result, the Panthers are now 1-8 overall and 0-5 in the Skyline Conference. For the Dolphins, they jumped to 6-7 and 3-1, respectively.
On the night, the hosts scored the first 10 goal to lead 10-1 at halftime. Following the break, the Blue and Orange responded with four-straight goals to cut the margin in half, but that was as close as they got in the end.
Overall, the Panthers finished with 18 shots (13 on goal) and 20 ground balls.
Individually,
Zach Scott (SO/West Babylon, NY) finished with four points (two goals, two assists) and two ground balls.
Ryan Haberski (FY/Saugerties, NY) added two goals, while
Davindra Deonarain (FY/Bronx, NY) collected two assists.
In goal,
TJ Pasqualini (SO/West Harrison, NY) had a season-high 24 saves, three ground balls and one caused turnover.
Up next for the squad is the final road game of the season, as it travels to the United States Merchant Marine Academy on April 18th at 2 p.m.
