FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's lacrosse team was defeated on the road Wednesday, falling to Farmingdale State College by the score of 20-1.
With the result, the Panthers are now 1-6 overall and 0-2 in the Skyline Conference. For the Rams, they moved to 8-3 and 1-1, respectively.
The hosts opened with 20-goals in a row, before the Blue and Orange closed out the contest with their lone strike in the fourth quarter.
It came from
Tony Cruz (JR/Bronx, NY) off a feed from
Chandler Redwood (JR/Dayton, OH). The goal was the first collegiate goal of Cruz's career.
Overall, the Panthers produced seven shots (three on goal) and grabbed nine ground balls in the effort. Redwood finished with the assist, two ground balls and one caused turnover.
In goal,
TJ Pasqualini (SO/West Harrison, NY) recorded 10 saves, two ground balls and a caused turnover.
Up next for the squad is a home matchup with Manhattanville University on April 11th at noon.
