PURCHASE, N.Y. - The SUNY Purchase women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season Monday afternoon, falling to Hunter College by the score of 6-1.
With the result, the Panthers moved to 2-1 overall. For the Hawks, they jumped to 3-0.
The lone win on the day for the Blue and Orange came from No.3 singles, as
Bianka Grzesik (FY/Warwick, NY) rallied for a three-set victory.
After dropping the first frame, she responded with a 6-4 win in set two, before pulling off the comeback, 10-8, in the third.
Up next for the squad is more home non-conference action as it hosts Bard College on September 17th.
