NEW YORK, N.Y. - The SUNY Purchase women's volleyball team was defeated on the road Tuesday night, falling in straight sets at The City College of New York.
Scores for the contest were 25-12, 25-21 and 25-19. With the result, the Panthers moved to 1-3 overall. For the Beavers, they jumped to 3-5.
On the night, the Blue and Orange finished with 22 kills on a -.018 hitting percentage, while the hosts recorded 30 and .152, respectively.
Individually,
Gabby Vanterpool (FY/Baldwin, NY) finished with a team-high eight kills and five digs.
Lily Dos Santos (FY/Briarcliff Manor, NY) added 14 assists, seven digs and two aces, while
Marcella Pena (SR/Bronx, NY) totaled 15 digs in the effort.
Up next for the squad is the home opener, as it hosts Medger Evers College on September 17th at 6 p.m.
