PURCHASE, N.Y. - The SUNY Purchase women's volleyball team earned an easy win Thursday night, cruising past Medgar Evers College in straight sets.
Scores for the contest were 25-9, 25-7 and 25-4. With the result, the Panthers are now 2-3. For the Cougars, they dropped to 0-6.
On the night, the hosts finished with 19 kills on .361 hitting, as they truly won the contest on aces. The Blue and Orange finished with a season-high 40 overall.
Individually,
Gabby Vanterpool (FY/Baldwin, NY) recorded 12 aces, while
Natalia Leite (SR/Thornwood, NY) added nine assists, seven kills and five aces.
Lily Dos Santos (FY/Briarcliff Manor, NY) chipped in nine aces and six assists in the win.
Up next for the squad is a quick return to action, as it hosts Lehman College on September 18th at 6 p.m.
