Purchase College Athletics is honored to welcome the first teams ever into our Hall of Fame, as we celebrate one of the most amazing stretches in our school’s history.

From 2010-2014, the Purchase College men’s basketball appeared in five Skyline Conference titles games, won four championships, made the NCAA Tournament four times, won two tourney games, hosted the first round of the 2014 tourney here, had three Skyline Conference Players of the Year and won countless accolades from the NABC, D3Hoops, Metro Basketball Writers, the Reese’s All-Star Game, and ECAC among many others.

Among the four squads, they all had distinctive traits and identifiers as the years went along. The 2009-10 squad was the first, the group that seemingly came from nowhere but in reality, were the first step in a dynasty.

The following year, in 2010-11, the same squad solidified its place among the NCAA Division III elite with a back-to-back Skyline championships, showing that these Panthers were no joke.

Two years later in 2012-13, this entirely new crew was out to prove that Purchase basketball was more than just the two-year run. Plus, they wanted revenge after just being edged out the year prior. In the end, they got their revenge and continued the legacy.

And finally, the 2013-14 squad closed out the dynasty is record-breaking fashion … the most wins in school history, and the first and only team to ever host an NCAA Tournament game.

The four squads were all different in there in own way, and yet were all connected by the same idea - brotherhood.

Year after year, the previous squads would come back and cheer on the new era, as they were all connected as Panther brothers. There is no more proof than today (11/16/2024) either, as we welcome back over two dozen former student-athletes and coaches from these four champions.

Now, it is time to finally welcome all of these players and coaches back home and honor them by solidifying their legacies into our Hall of Fame permanently.
