Annandale-on-Hudson, NY (Oct. 5, 2010) – Jacob Hartog's goal in the 14th minute off a pass from Casey Asprooth-Jackson proved to be enough on Tuesday night as the Bard College men's soccer team held off Purchase 1-0.

Bard, 2-2 in the Skyline Conference and 4-7 overall, controlled play in the first half but had only Hartog's strike to show for it.

Purchase, 0-4 in Skyline play and 1-8-1 overall, came on strong in the second but could not penetrate the Raptors' defense. Hartog accounted for eight of Bard's 11 shots on goal.

Goalkeeper Deven Connelly was called on for just two saves, but one, on a strike by Purchase's Michael Beckett (FR/Yorktown Heights, NY), he tipped over the crossbar.

It was the Panthers' best chance all night and it came early in the second half.
