Purchase, NY (Feb. 9, 2012) – Conference elite Farmingdale State rolled to a 67-36 victory Thursday night at Purchase.

The second-place Rams improved to 12-7 and 11-1 in league play, jumping out to a 33-12 lead at the break. FSC never looked back, coasting in the second half, despite a valiant effort from the hosts. Purchase (7-15, 0-12 Skyline Conference) hung tough over the final 20 minutes, trying it best to close the gap with the talented Rams.

Baytania Newman led the way for FSC, scoring 18 points, while Jeanette Zubizarreta chipped in 11 in the victory.

Purchase had three players finish with 10 points apiece, including Alyssa Guido (SR/Cliffside Park, NJ), Jess Lindsay (SO/Rochester, NY) and Christina Rupp (FR/Ossining, NY).

Up next, the Panthers will return to action Saturday at home when they host CMSV.
