(Sept. 24, 2014) – Despite a hard-fought effort, the Purchase College men's soccer team fell to a strong non-conference opponent Wednesday afternoon in Ramapo College.
The Roadrunners improved to 6-2-2 in a 2-0 win at the Athletic Center in Mahwah. Purchase is now 4-3-1.
Ramapo scored early. It took just over three minutes for the Roadrunners to get on the scoreboard after a corner kick from Cristian Trujillo landed perfectly for Nick Brancato to head into the net.
The goal was the only one of the half as Ramapo held a 12-5 advantage in shots in the first 45 minutes of play.
Ramapo again got on the scoreboard quickly at the start of the second half as rookie Justin Olaya tallied his fifth of the season. The goal coming at 47:51, would be the final goal of the day.
