(Sept. 4, 2016) – Purchase men's soccer opened the 2016 season at the College of Staten Island this weekend, taking part in the CSI Fall Classic.
The Panthers lost to New Jersey City University 3-0 Saturday and then fell to host CSI 3-0 Sunday. NJCU would go on to win the classic, taking both of its games.
In the opener against Purchase, NJCU's Theo Sanoh netted the game's first two goals and assisted on the third score in the 59
th minute.
Sunday, CSI's Marcin Kim tallied a pair in the 3-0 victory.
For Purchase, rookie keeper
Jade Aubertin (FR/Brooklyn, NY) was able to register four saves and interrupt a series of CSI flurries at the top of the box in the first half. The Dolphins seized control in the second half en route to the win.
The Panthers will look to bounce back Wednesday night in their home opener against Kean University.
