Brooklyn, NY (Nov.28, 2018) – The Purchase College women's basketball team earned its second win of the young season with a 57-35 non-conference decision at Pratt Tuesday evening.
The Panthers move to 2-4 overall, while the host Cannoneers drop to 1-2 in defeat.

Senior guard Amber Jones (Bronx, NY) contributed a game-high 16 points and pulled down a team-best eight rebounds and four assists. Senior guard Amber Yarter (Albany, NY) aided the offensive effort with 10 points, including two three-pointers, and tied with rookie forward Shadai Plowden (FR/Yonkers, NY) with seven boards apiece.

Juniors Alfa DeJesus (Bronx, NY) and Arta Krasniqi (Bronx, NY) were game-changers on the floor, totaling team-bests in steals (4) and blocks (3), respectively. The two also combined for 16 points and 10 boards.

Pratt was led by Amissa Epperson who notched a team-high 15 points on the evening, including eight in the second half, while Kinako Miyake poured in 12 points to go with a season-best seven rebounds in the setback.

Purchase held the Cannoneers to just 12-for-60 (20.0%) shooting on the evening. The Panthers were 37.1 percent, going 23-for-62 from the field. Purchase hosted a 50-40 advantage on the glass over 40 minutes of play, while it also owned a 28-12 advantage in the paint.

Purchase is back at home this Saturday, joining the men's program in a Skyline Conference doubleheader against Sarah Lawrence College. Game times are set for 12 and 2 p.m.
