Bronx, NY (Sept. 16, 2018) – Simon Montalvo and Joseph Hart helped lift Purchase past Yeshiva on the links Sunday.  

The visitors earned the Skyline Conference win, 334-341.

The Maccabees drop to 0-2, while the Panthers advance to 1-1.

Montalvo (FR/New York, NY) posted a 77. Hart (SR/Riverhead, NY) added a 78. "We were both three over par through 14 holes but let a few slip away on the closing holes," said Montalvo, of the 6480, Par 71 Pelham Bay Golf Course.

"They were both paired together and hit one brilliant shot after another on a beautiful day weather-wise," head coach James Alfredo said.

Rounding out the scoring for the Panthers is Will Burger (SO/Albany, NY), Stephen Javakian (SO/Long Beach, NY) and Gunnar Hassard (FR/Oneonta, NY).

The Maccabees were led by Izak Held, who shot an 80. Ben Kahan and Daniel Spirgel each registered an 86.

Next stop for the Panthers is the Mitchell College Invitational on Sept. 19.
