Purchase, NY (Jan. 18, 2019) – The Purchase College men's and women's swim teams hosted the College of New Rochelle for a non-conference meet Friday evening. The visiting Blue Angels posted victories on both ends of the meet, defeating Purchase 99-36 on the women's side and 67-49 on the men's side.

The Panthers utilized the matchup as a warm-up to next week's Skyline Conference Swimming and Diving Championships, set to be hosted at Purchase on Jan. 25 and 26.

Purchase picked up first place wins in the 200 and 100-yard freestyle events. In the women's 200-free, sophomore Alex Palermo (Rye, NY) was tagged as top finisher with a time of 2:31.34. In the women's 100-free, senior Katie Lopez (Dix Hills, NY) hit the pad at 1:11.54 and on the men's side, junior Craig Browning (Carmel, NY) swam his way to a personal-best 1:03.41. 

CNR recorded top finishes in 15 events. 

The Panthers will suit back up tomorrow as they head to Newburgh, NY for a Skyline Conference meet hosted by the Knights of Mount Saint Mary College.
