PURCHASE, NY - The Purchase College women's swim team was defeated by Lehman College Monday night, falling at home to the Lightning, 149-89.

With the loss, the Panthers dropped to 2-5 overall. Meanwhile, Lehman improved to 2-1 on the young season.

Purchase opened the night with a team win in the 200-medley relay, thanks to the quartet of Samantha Schnupp (JR/New York, NY), Diana Gilday (SO/Bellrose, NY), Lizzie Cartwright (FR/Middletown, NY) and Alexandra Palermo (JR/Rye, NY). 

Brienne Westfall (FR/Grand Island, NY) continued to shine in her freshman campaign with a pair of wins in the 100-fly and the 200-IM. 

Schnupp added an individual win as well, taking first in the 100-free, while Cartwright placed first in the 500-free with a season-best time. 

Up next for the Panthers is a tri-meet at Old Westbury, as they take on two Skyline Conference foes, Old Westbury and St. Joseph's - Brooklyn. That meet is set to start at 6 p.m. on November 22nd.
