BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Purchase College women's swim team made a splash in it's return to action Thursday evening. The Panthers split a non-conference tri-meet with John Jay and Brooklyn College inside BC's West Quad Pool, resulting in the team's first win of the 2022-23 season.
Purchase dominated in four of its 12 events to defeat the host Bulldogs, 48-37. Despite their efforts, the Panthers were unable to pull off a complete sweep and were later tagged with a 50-37 loss to John Jay.
RESULTS
Chloe McDonald (FR/Highland Falls, NY) broke the individual scoring ice with a first-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle. The standout rookie hit the pad at 14:25.98; nearly three minutes ahead of John Jay's Diana Castellanos, who finished in second place.
The Panthers' success would continue in yet another freestyle event, courtesy of the 200-yard performances from
