NEW YORK, N.Y. - A trio of Purchase College men's soccer players were named weekly winners of Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Awards, it was announced Tuesday.

Ermin Mackic (FR/Yonkers, NY) claimed the Rookie of the Week nod, while Liam George (JR/Brooklyn, NY) and Jack Gjokaj (JR/Thornwood, NY) each earned a spot on the Honor Roll.

For Mackic, the first-year striker received the praise after recording a goal and an assist during the Panthers' 5-0 win over Baruch College last week. He finished with a team-high eight shots (four on goal) as Purchase's lead attacker in the victory.

As for George, he finished with a goal and two assists in that same contest, while Gjokaj totaled four saves and the clean sheet in the triumph.

All three awards were the first in each player's career with the Panthers.

For the Blue and Orange in general, the squad is 1-1 overall and returns to action tomorrow (9/13) at home against CCNY. That contest is set to begin at 7 p.m.
