PURCHASE, N.Y. - Purchase College junior Liam Daly has been named to the 2025 D3Baseball.com Preseason All-American Second Team, it was announced Friday.

The nod is arguably the biggest honor of Daly's bright young career, as he becomes the first Panther to ever be named to the team.

The first baseman was one of just 45 players across all of NCAA Division III baseball to be recognized, and its an honor that is well deserved.

In just two years with Purchase, Daly has already become of the best players in school history, as he has totaled a .422 career batting average, 119 hits, 15 home runs, 88 runs, 70 RBIs and 39 stolen bases.

Additionally, with his performance on the field, the baseball team returned to the Skyline Conference Playoffs in back-to-back years, including a berth in the semifinals in 2023.

As for his many individual honors, some of the notable achievements of Daly's career include:

• 2024 All-Skyline Conference First Team
• 2024 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III Region 3 All-Region First Team
• 2024 D3baseball.com's All-Region Region 3 First Team
• 2023-24 Purchase College Athlete of the Year (Men's Teams)
• 2023 All-Skyline Conference Second Team
• 2023 Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year  
• 2022-23 Purchase College Rookie of the Year (Men's Teams)

With the 2025 season on the horizon, Daly and the Panthers are looking to return to the playoffs once more, and hopefully take that next step towards even greater success.

The journey gets underway on March 1st, when Purchase hosts Union College for a doubleheader, beginning at 11 a.m.
