NEW YORK, N.Y. – Purchase College junior Rashid Nikiema (Winooski, VT) was named the Skyline Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. It was announced Wednesday. He also garnered another Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Weekly Honorable Mention, which was announced on Tuesday.

Over two wins this past week, Nikiema averaged 24.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals over 33.0 minutes per game. He went 15-23 from the field (65.2%), 9-13 on 3-pointers (69.2%) and 10-10 on free throws.

Nikiema has brought home 10 Skyline awards this season and six MBWA Weekly Honorable Mentions.

The men's basketball team is wrapping up their regular season on the road at the University of Mount Saint Vincent on February 22nd.
