FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Purchase College women's cross country team competed on the 5K trail at Bethpage State Park for the annual Golden Eagle Invitational hosted by St. Joseph's University (L.I.) on Friday.
The Panthers competed against a field of 10 teams, including Skyline rivals U.S. Merchant Marine, SJU (L.I.), SJU (Brooklyn), Farmingdale, Old Westbury and the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
Purchase finished 10th overall with
Victor Vyssotski leading the way. Vyssotski clocked in at 28:08.9, followed by teammates
Siona Lee (30:05.5), Alison Salinas (31:17.3), Amanda Ramos (31:19.5) and Jenna Hernandez (40:46), respectively.
The team looks to build on Friday's successes as they get set to host Skyline opponent Sarah Lawrence College for a dual race on Oct. 4 at 7 a.m.
