BELLPORT, N.Y. - The Purchase College golf team finished third at the St. Joseph's University-Long Island Invitational Friday afternoon, as the event took place at the Bellport Country Club.

Results

The Panthers collected the bronze medal after concluding the day with a +70 score. The hosts placed first with an overall score of +53.

Leading the way for the Blue and Orange was Daniel Knipscher (SR/Vestal, NY), who finished fourth out of 23 golfers with a score of 83 (+12).

Up next was Steve Mains (SR/Mount Kisco, NY) with a score of 88, which tied for sixth place. After Mains was Arthur Nelbach (FY/Cornwall, NY), who shot a 91.

Finally, Christian Miesegaes (SO/Staten Island, NY) finished in 92 shots, while Bennett Parli (FY/East Quogue, NY) recorded a 97.

Up next for the Panthers is the season finale as the squad celebrates Senior Day against Mount Saint Mary College on October 23rd at noon.
